About Brighten the Corners
Released in 1997 Brighten the Corners finds Stephen Malkmus and Co. in their prime as a band with a record that has become a anthemic staple of 90s indie rock.
As Stephen T. Erlewine of All Music states, “…[Brighten the Corners] is mature but wise-assed, melodic but complex — it’s a record that reveals its gifts gradually, giving you enough information the first time to make you want come back for more.”
About Michael Lerner
Michael Benjamin Lerner is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and the principal architect behind Telekinesis. Last fall he released his fourth record, Ad Infinitum.
Following his three previous releases, Lerner set his guitar aside and instead immersed himself in the music of early 80s UK synth groups including Orchestral Manoevres in the Dark and The Blue Nile. Searching for inspiration outside of his comfort zone he began learning to play old analog keyboards and devices . As a result Lerner has created the perfect marriage of his power pop roots and vintage synths with Ad Infinitum.
